Hilary Duff recently opened up about returning to the recording studio and provided some details about her upcoming single, This Is What Y2K Dreams Are Made Of. Earlier this week, she announced the release of a new song called “Mature” on November 6, marking her first new music since her 2015 album Breathe In.
During the Season Two finale of the Therapuss podcast, hosted by Jake Shane, Duff reflected on her musical comeback. “It was always going to happen,” she said. “There’s no way that that was not going to be a part of my story.”
The pop star and former Disney star shared that after a decade away from music and now being 38 years old, she feels prepared to reconnect with her audience on a deeper level. “I’m ready to fill in the blanks and share with people and connect with them on the level of now,” Duff said.
“Obviously, it’s taken a lot of twists and turns and ups and downs and all of those things, but I have this crazy connection with fans that I’ve known since I was nine, 10 years old, and I just want to connect with them again.”
