Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakravarthy have retained their top positions in the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) T20I rankings for batsmen and bowlers, respectively. Their performances continue to shine despite strong competition.
Following Pakistan’s 2-1 home series victory over South Africa, several Pakistani players made significant jumps in the ICC T20I batting rankings:
Abhishek Sharma leads the batters’ list with 925 rating points, ahead of England’s Phil Salt and Tilak Verma. India captain Suryakumar Yadav is the only other Indian in the top 10, positioned in eighth place.
Varun Chakravarthy remains the number one spinner, followed by West Indies’ Akeal Hossein and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan, who completes the top three in the bowlers’ rankings.
Below the top three bowlers, Australia’s Adam Zampa dropped three places from fourth to seventh. Consequently, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, England’s Adil Rashid, and Sri Lanka’s Nuwan Thushara each moved up one position.
Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood improved significantly, rising two spots to tenth after strong performances against India at home.
