Channel 10 is returning to the early 2000s vibe with the new season of Big Brother. The show’s host, Mel Tracina, has addressed whether an adults-only edition will return.
The house is back at Dreamworld, where the first 11 seasons were filmed from 2001 to 2014. Tracina explained,
“The Big Brother house is synonymous with Dreamworld, so bringing the OG format to its OG location feels right.”
The adults-only version, Big Brother Uncut, aired during the first six seasons, but will not return this year. Tracina confirmed,
“This year there’s no return of Big Brother Up Late (or Uncut). We’re keeping it PG.”
This decision may disappoint fans who remember sneaking glimpses of the uncensored versions filled with risqué moments and late-night drama.
The new Big Brother season embraces its early 2000s roots with a family-friendly, live format at Dreamworld, officially ruling out the return of the uncensored Uncut version.
