Renowned British chef Rick Stein, famed for his love of linen and fine wines, is launching his highly anticipated Australian flagship restaurant in Sydney.
Set above the sands of Coogee Beach, the new venue will open its doors on December 1 as part of the multimillion-dollar renovation of the InterContinental Hotel. The restaurant, Rick Stein at Coogee, will serve as the Australian metropolitan flagship for Rick and his wife Sarah, already known for their acclaimed venues Bannisters by the Sea in Mollymook and Bannisters Port Stephens.
“Sydney’s Coogee Beach is the perfect location for our flagship Australian restaurant,” Stein said. “It’s relaxed yet sophisticated, with that incredible connection to the ocean that has always inspired my cooking. For us, this feels like coming home.”
The menu, designed by head chef Colin Chun (formerly of W Taipei), focuses on fresh, local, and seasonal seafood. The space will offer both casual and refined dining options alongside an adjoining bar, creating a versatile coastal experience for guests.
Reservations are now open at ricksteinatcoogeebeach.com.au.
The announcement appeared in the digital-first travel magazine ROAM by The Nightly, featuring premium travel stories, curated itineraries, and exclusive offers for passionate travelers.
