Flinders Port Holdings has unveiled a custom-built float for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant in Adelaide, celebrating the role of maritime trade in spreading holiday cheer across South Australia.
The pageant, starting at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, 8 November, has marked the beginning of the festive season since 1933. Every year, thousands of South Australians gather along Adelaide’s streets to watch the colorful procession.
“We’re thrilled to finally unveil our FPH float,” said Flinders Port Holdings in a social media announcement.
“The float celebrates the vital role maritime trade plays in bringing festive joy, and presents, to South Australians each year.”
According to FPH, this is the first custom-built float to be added in five years. It features a detailed replica of one of the company’s Pilot boats, a crew of container operators, and festive FPH elves preparing gifts.
“The blue fabric ruffle below adds the perfect finishing touch, creating the illusion of the Pilot Boat gliding through water,”
explained the company. The float was officially launched this week at Outer Harbor, where FPH elves joined the festivities to celebrate its debut.
The festive float from Flinders Port Holdings merges maritime pride with Christmas spirit, symbolizing South Australia’s enduring connection to the sea.
