Free Public Transport in Adelaide for the Annual Christmas Pageant
Adelaide Metro is providing free train, tram, and bus services on Saturday, November 8, to support transportation for the largest public street parade in the Southern Hemisphere.
Event and Service Details
Hundreds of thousands of people are expected to visit Adelaide for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant. Free public transport will be available from 6am to 2pm to help families secure a place behind the Blue Honour Line before Father Christmas arrives.
Additional Transport Arrangements
- Extra buses and trains will operate throughout the day.
- Additional services will be added to substitute buses currently replacing trams on the partially closed Glenelg tram line.
- The Old London Bus and the Pageant Express Steam Train will follow the Pageant route.
Service Changes on Pageant Day
- No tram services will run on King William Street or the eastern section of North Terrace during the morning due to the parade route.
- Tram services will continue between the Entertainment Centre and Adelaide Railway Station.
