It is unacceptable to label patriotism as divisive. Australians should be proud of their nation and its symbol. People from all over the world choose to make Australia their home because it is a remarkable country with one of the most successful migration stories in modern history.
We are a proud migrant nation, a diverse and unified society that includes Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families who arrived decades ago, and new residents who continue to enrich our multicultural fabric.
