TrumpRx and Most-Favored Nation Pricing
President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services officials have announced the creation of TrumpRx, a website where Americans can buy medications at lower prices.
Pharmaceutical giants Pfizer and AstraZeneca have agreed to sell their drugs to state Medicaid programs at "most-favored-nation" pricing and deeply discounted rates on TrumpRx.gov.
They also unveiled the first-of-its-kind deal they’d reached with pharmaceutical giant Pfizer on drug pricing for Medicaid – a deal they’ve now secured with AstraZeneca, as well.
These deals may impact not only Medicaid but also the pricing of new drugs, as drug makers hint at selling all new drugs at most-favored-nation pricing.
