EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy, 42, has revisited her past conflict with singer Paloma Faith, reaffirming her statements that she faced bullying during her school years. Cassidy had earlier surprised fans in June by speaking openly about those experiences.
However, Paloma later said that she herself had been bullied, offering a different perspective on their shared school days. Despite this, Natalie continues to assert that envy over her early acting success made her school life difficult.
Cast in EastEnders at the age of 10, Natalie recalls that some classmates were not kind about her achievements. She admitted that being on set often felt safer and happier than attending school.
"There wasn't anywhere else I wanted to be. Maybe because when I wasn't there, school was difficult, people were jealous," Natalie said on Katherine Ryan’s What’s My Age Again podcast.
"You know, there was bullying that went on. So I always just wanted to be there because it was so fun and I was surrounded by nice people."
While she did not name Paloma directly in her latest remarks, the ongoing public debate suggests tensions between the two remain unresolved.
Natalie Cassidy revisits her claims of school bullying and suggests jealousy over her early TV fame, while Paloma Faith maintains she was also a victim of bullying.
