David Taylor, formerly of Tarbolton Crescent, Hale, began an eight-month stalking campaign in August last year after being barred from his former GP’s practice. The 56-year-old was placed on the practice's barred list due to aggressive and alarming behaviour toward the doctor on site.
After being blocked by the GP, Taylor tracked down her business profile page and continued to send messages. Using alternate accounts, he requested that his medical records be transferred to a new GP, ignoring repeated block attempts.
As fear grew, the victim faced further harassment when Taylor posted inappropriate comments on her business Facebook page. The situation escalated on March 26, when Taylor showed up uninvited at her home in Knutsford, asking for a word.
“After her initial shock, she shut the door, called her husband and 999.”
With Taylor knowing where she and her family lived, the victim was left in constant fear, unable to live her life as before.
This case highlights severe consequences of stalking, as Taylor received one of the longest jail sentences for his persistent and frightening behaviour that deeply impacted his victim’s sense of safety.
