Jacob Elordi Recites Poetry in a Literary-Tinged Bottega Campaign

Actor Jacob Elordi, known for his role in Frankenstein, stars in a new Bottega Veneta fashion campaign captured by the renowned photographer Duane Michals. The collaboration marks another creative dialogue between the luxury Italian brand and the world of contemporary art.

A Poetic Collaboration

Elordi visited Michals’s Gramercy Park apartment for the photoshoot. The 93-year-old photographer created striking black-and-white portraits of the actor among artistic props, including flowers, feathers, tree branches, and a distorting mirror — visual motifs that echo Michals’s surreal style.

The images form the centerpiece of What Are Dreams, a Bottega Veneta campaign that blends poetic imagery with high fashion aesthetics. The campaign also includes a behind-the-scenes film featuring Elordi reflecting on dreams and time through poetry.

“It is our enigmatic fate that we must dream in time and wait,”

recites Elordi softly in the film, his voice accompanied by gentle piano music. The piece reveals both introspection and elegance, staying true to Bottega Veneta’s refined sensibility. In 2024, the brand appointed Elordi as its global ambassador.

Creative Vision

Through Michals’s lens, the campaign explores fragility, imagination, and the blurred space between art and fashion. The monochrome scenes invite viewers to interpret emotion and narrative as a single poetic gesture.
