Jackson Blake and Sean Walker each recorded a goal and an assist as the Carolina Hurricanes edged the Minnesota Wild 4–3 at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Andrei Svechnikov and Nikolaj Ehlers also scored, while Frederik Andersen stopped 21 shots to secure Carolina’s second consecutive win and third in their last four games.
“Blake is probably the one who needs the most credit for tonight,” said Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour. “The one goal was all him, and the other was just a great pass.”
Matt Boldy scored twice for Minnesota, marking his 300th NHL game. Goaltender Filip Gustavsson made 23 saves in the defeat, ending the Wild’s two-game winning streak.
“They’re a high-pressure team. There were times I thought we handled it well, and there were times when there was another good team on the ice too,” said Wild coach John Hynes. “We got some looks in different segments of the game.”
Blake’s creativity and Boldy’s persistence defined a fast-paced matchup where both sides showed offensive depth, but Carolina’s execution ultimately made the difference.
The Hurricanes secured a 4–3 win over the Wild thanks to key performances from Blake and Walker, maintaining momentum with their second straight victory.
