Riley Keough believes she has received signs from her late mother, Lisa Marie Presley, indicating that her memoir From Here to the Great Unknown was completed with her mother’s peace and approval. Keough finished the book after her mother’s death in 2023, working with recordings of Presley’s memories to complete the project.
The 36-year-old actress, known for her role in Daisy Jones & The Six, shared with PEOPLE at the Academy x Chanel Women’s Luncheon that she feels spiritually connected to her mother.
“I think if you're open to those things, they're kind of everywhere. I really do believe that.”
She added,
“So, I certainly feel connected to whatever that world may be. I do feel connected to it, yeah. There are certainly moments that are very... too weird to not be something.”
While Keough did not detail the specific moments when she felt her mother’s presence, she plans to explore this topic further in a heartfelt afterword that will be included in the paperback release of the memoir on November 11, published by Penguin Random House.
