Comstock Metals Receives Solar Panel Processing Industrial Scale Written Determination

Comstock Metals Receives Written Determination for Solar Panel Processing

Comstock Inc. (NYSE: LODE) and its subsidiary Comstock Metals LLC, a leader in responsible recycling of end-of-life solar panels with a certified North American zero-landfill solution, announced an important regulatory milestone.

The Nevada Division of Environmental Protection – Bureau of Sustainable Materials Management (NDEP-BSMM) has issued a Written Determination Permit notification to Comstock Metals. This approval, subject to standard compliance conditions and public notices, allows the processing of waste solar panels and photovoltaics at their industry-scale materials recovery facility in Silver Springs, Nevada.

This timely permit advances their plan to commission the first large-scale facility for recycling solar panels on schedule.

Comstock Metals also expects to receive an Air Quality Control permit approval within the coming weeks, following similar compliance and public notice procedures.

These permits will complete the regulatory requirements for scaling up a facility designed to process over 3 million solar panels annually from a single continuous production line, which equates to up to 100,000 tons of waste material processed each year.

“This timely approval keeps our scale up plans for commissioning our first industry-scale facility in Silver Springs, NV, right on schedule.”

The facility aims to set a precedent in sustainable solar panel recycling while maintaining zero landfill waste standards.

Summary

Comstock Metals secures crucial permits to begin large-scale solar panel recycling, processing millions of panels annually with zero landfill waste commitment.
