Aaron Samuel Yukon was sentenced to nine months in jail for slashing actor Ryan Lian in the face with a karambit knife after a confrontation outside Nex shopping mall.

Incident Details

The 22-year-old pleaded guilty on November 7, 2025, to voluntarily causing grievous hurt. An additional charge for possession of an offensive weapon was considered during sentencing.

On November 22, 2024, at around 6:15 pm, Yukon and Mr. Lian—known for his roles in Ah Boys To Men 4 and Money No Enough 3—were smoking outside the mall when they became annoyed by each other's staring, leading to a verbal dispute.

Escalation to Violence

The argument escalated quickly into a physical fight. Both men pushed and punched each other, eventually falling to the ground struggling.

“The accused used the karambit to attack Lian, and while he was doing so, the sheath of the karambit fell off and the accused was using the uncovered karambit to attack Lian,” said Deputy Public Prosecutor Xavier Tan.
