Detectives are searching for a suspect who attacked a teenager in Times Square after asking if he was in a gang. The incident occurred outside 3 Times Square at around 1:30 a.m. over the weekend.
An 18-year-old male was approached by a group questioning whether he belonged to a gang. Although he denied the claim, one man slashed his face and then fled the scene.
Officers from the Midtown South Precinct assisted the victim into a police cruiser and transported him to Mount Sinai West. The teen received treatment for his injury and is currently in stable condition.
