Ringbrothers’ Kingpin Takes The ’69 Mustang To Mach 2 | Carscoops

Ringbrothers’ Kingpin Elevates the ’69 Mustang to New Heights

The renowned Wisconsin-based custom shop Ringbrothers revealed an 800 hp supercharged Mustang at this year’s SEMA show. Known for creating jaw-dropping builds, Ringbrothers proves once again why enthusiasts might skip modern supercars and turn to them for unique projects.

A Sinister 1969 Mustang Mach 1

The latest masterpiece, named Kingpin, is a 1969 Mustang Mach 1 that seems like it was tailored for the Grim Reaper. While based on a late-1960s Mustang fastback—referred to as Sportsroof by Ford in 1969—Kingpin aligns with the shop's tradition of pushing the envelope, similar to their past work on vintage Rolls Royce, AMC Javelin, and an Aston Martin DBS.

Extensive Customization and Craftsmanship

“The Mustang Mach 1 has always been an aggressive-looking car, and the client was adamant about creating a sinister aesthetic,” said Ringbrothers co-owner Jim Ring. “We asked ourselves, ‘What would the final boss in a John Wick film drive?’ This was the result.”
Summary

Ringbrothers’ Kingpin is a masterfully crafted ’69 Mustang Mach 1 combining classic muscle car heritage with aggressive styling and modern performance upgrades that command attention.
