Westlake Park Closed for Major Upgrade
Westlake Park, located in the heart of downtown Seattle, will be closed until spring 2026 for a major upgrade.
The Seattle Parks Foundation, in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation, has convened a group of residents, agencies, businesses, and community providers to improve the park and revitalize the community commons.

- Electrical upgrades for improved site lighting
- Improved conditions for existing trees
- Leveling of existing pavers throughout the site
- Removal of outdated features, including the fountain and arch
