Richard Vogel made a strong impression on Friday by winning the Longines Grand Prix in Lyon with his horse, Gangster Montdesir.
Vogel and Gangster Montdesir have only competed together three times so far. Despite the horse’s relative inexperience, Vogel planned an aggressive strategy for the jump-off involving tight turns.
“Gangster and I are quite a new pair. This is only our third competition together. Even though he’s still fairly inexperienced, I had planned to take tight turns in this jump-off. I must admit, I didn’t expect him to turn so well! Gangster is incredible.”
This victory raises high hopes for the duo’s future performances, highlighting Vogel's confidence in Gangster’s talent and potential on the international stage.
