The Clemson men’s basketball team launches its 2025–26 campaign on Monday night with a matchup against New Hampshire. After a record-breaking season that ended in a disappointing first-round NCAA Tournament exit, the Tigers are eager to build on their recent success.
Last season, Clemson set new program records with 26 regular-season victories and 18 ACC wins. Over the last three years, the Tigers have compiled a 74–30 record, second only to Duke during that stretch, marking the most successful three-year period in school history.
New Hampshire enters the opener following a difficult campaign, finishing 8–24 overall and 6–10 in the America East Conference. Coming off their worst season in six years, the Wildcats hope to regroup, while Clemson aims to exploit their struggles and start strong.
Monday’s contest will be the first meeting between the two programs, adding intrigue to the season opener. Clemson’s roster will look very different this year after major offseason changes, including the departure of several key players. Notably, All-ACC stars Chase Hunter and Ian Schieffelin have moved on, with Hunter signing professionally with the New Orleans Pelicans.
“Monday’s game marks the first-ever meeting between Clemson and New Hampshire, adding an interesting element to the opener.”
Clemson tips off its new season against New Hampshire with hopes of continuing its historic momentum despite major roster changes and new challenges ahead.
