Hundreds of Grand Valley residents gathered at Memorial Park in the Mesa County Fairgrounds on October 11 for the Charlie Kirk Legacy Rally, hosted by Turning Point CMU.
Logan Jochim, Vice President for Turning Point CMU, expressed his pride in the community's turnout, stating:
I’m so proud of the community for showing up here.
The event honored Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA), who passed away after being shot while speaking at a university in Utah on September 10.
According to Jess Clark-Scott, Secretary for Turning Point CMU, the rally was not only a mourning ceremony but also a call to action, inspiring new memberships and growth in the chapter.
Clark-Scott noted:
We’ve had a lot of new membership that have been kind of inspired by Charlie Kirk’s legacy, and added that
We have just experienced amazing growth at the chapter at CMU.
