Girls Tennis: Alexandria Wins First Section Championship
The Alexandria girls tennis team made history by winning their first section championship, defeating Elk River 4-3.
The Cardinals' victory marked the first time the program has won a section title, and they will now compete in the Class AAA state team tournament on October 21 at the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis.
- Alexandria won the Central Lakes Conference championship earlier in the season.
- The Minnesota State High School League expanded girls tennis to three classes prior to the 2025-26 season.
The section title is the first in the program’s history.
Addison and Kennedy Stevenson will also represent Alexandria in the Class AAA state individual doubles tournament.
