Phillies manager Rob Thomson is reportedly safe, according to reports from a handful of MLB insiders.

The main problem was the bats, with only four hits in an elimination game. Trea Turner, Bryce Harper, and Kyle Schwarber went 1 for 14 in game four with four strikeouts, scoring 2.3 runs per game in games 1, 2, and 4.
A stronger case for firing could be made for Kevin Long than Rob Thomson.
