Paedophile Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins Killed in Prison Knife Attack
Former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins was murdered at Wakefield prison in Yorkshire while serving a 29-year sentence for child sex offences.
Watkins, a convicted paedophile, had been jailed after admitting a string of sex offences, including the attempted rape of a fan’s baby. He was reportedly assaulted with a knife on Saturday morning.
- Two men, aged 25 and 43, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are in police custody.
- West Yorkshire Police were called by staff at HMP Wakefield following reports of a serious assault on a prisoner at 9:39am on Saturday morning.
