Suspected Drug Peddler Arrested in Umoja
A suspected drug peddler was arrested in Umoja, with approximately 20 kilogrammes of unprocessed cannabis seized.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), the operation followed extensive intelligence gathering and resulted in the recovery of:
- 20 kilogrammes of unprocessed cannabis
- 3,000 rolls of the drug
- 33 packaged bundles of the drug
This operation is part of the National Police Service’s sustained efforts to curb the distribution and abuse of narcotics within the city and across the country.
The suspect is currently in custody and will appear in court. The NPS praised the officers for their vigilance and dedication to combating drug trafficking.
