The Northeastern volleyball team defeated the Elon University Phoenix in a two-game series on the road.
The team's record is now 7-8, 3-3 CAA, while Elon's record is 4-13, 2-4 CAA.
The Huskies won the games in five sets and three sets, respectively.
In the first game, sophomore outside hitter Brynn Smith led the team with 21 kills, while junior middle blocker Beatrice Gennari led in blocks with six.
Freshman setter Sofia King led in assists with 38, and senior libero Nadia Koanui led in digs with 21.
The Huskies were quick to jump ahead 6-2 and maintained the team’s lead through the majority of the set.
A kill by Smith put the Huskies up 18-14 before three consecutive points for Elon cut Northeastern’s lead to one.
