Track Improvement Work to Affect Journeys
Passengers are advised that a weekend of engineering work will impact journeys between the East Midlands and Skegness.
Rail replacement buses will operate between Nottingham/Grantham and Sleaford due to the work.
Network Rail's Projects
On Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 November, Network Rail will carry out two projects to improve the railway condition.
- 1.6km of new track will be installed at Ancaster in Lincolnshire for more reliable journeys.
- New railway sleepers will be installed at Scarrington Lane level crossing, Nottinghamshire.
A £1.3 million investment will replace jointed rail from the 1950s with continuous welded rail, providing a smoother ride and less future maintenance.
