Saskatoon Hilltops weather the storm, move on to PFC semifinal against Winnipeg Rifles - Prince Albert Daily Herald

Saskatoon Hilltops Advance to PFC Semifinal

The Saskatoon Hilltops have overcome adversity throughout the season, and their regular-season finale was no exception. Despite facing rain, wind, and snow, as well as a lengthy delay, they secured a 31-6 victory over the Calgary Colts.

“It is what it is,” said Hilltops head coach Tom Sargeant.

The team now moves on to the Prairie Football Conference playoffs, with their first game against the Winnipeg Rifles this Sunday. When asked if the Hilltops are ready for a long playoff run, Sargeant replied,

“We’re going to find out.”

The game was marked by challenging conditions, with a slippery ball and turf making play difficult at times. The Hilltops adapted to the conditions, and their victory has earned them a spot in the semifinal.
