India Fined for Slow Over-Rate in CWC25

The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side has been fined 5% of their match fee for maintaining a slow over-rate during their ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 game against Australia.

The sanctions were imposed by Michell Periera of the Emirates ICC International Panel of Match Referees after the game in Visakhapatnam on Sunday. On-field umpires Sue Redfern and Nimali Perera, third umpire Kim Cotton, and fourth umpire Jacquline Williams leveled the charge.

India were ruled to be one over short of the target after time allowances were taken into consideration.

Australia clinch record chase to overcome India, with Skipper Alyssa Healy delivering a splendid ton.

In accordance with Article 2, the fine was imposed.
