Ripon High Honors Longtime Football Announcer and Teacher
Ripon High dedicated the press box at Stouffer Field in memory of Chuck Carley, a longtime football announcer and educator.
Carley, who passed away on July 29, 2023, was the voice behind the mic from 1986 to 2021, including the 2019 state championship game.
- Recognized as Outstanding New Teacher in San Joaquin County (1982) and received the Golden Bell Award for Excellence in Teaching (2003).
His legacy was honored in a dedication presentation, which included a watercolor painting by Kristi Mayfield.
Carley's wife, Laurie, and family members were in attendance during the presentation at the Trans-Valley League game against Ripon Christian.
