Channing Tatum Reveals Marvel's Canceled Gambit Movie Was Too Extreme For The MCU

Channing Tatum, who will reprise his role as Gambit in Avengers: Doomsday, has revealed why his canceled Marvel Gambit movie was too extreme for the MCU.

Tatum had wanted to play Gambit on the big screen for a long time and initially had a solo movie in development.

“Look…if we’d made our Fox version, that script would’ve never gotten made — ever. It was an R-rated romantic comedy. And when I say R-rated, I mean we went for it,”

Tatum said in an interview with Variety, explaining why the movie would never be made today due to its extreme content.

Author's summary: Tatum's Gambit movie was too extreme for MCU.
