Red Cross Minnesota and Dakotas Region Supports Western Alaska Recovery

Volunteers from the Red Cross Minnesota and Dakotas Region are traveling to Western Alaska to aid in recovery efforts following deadly flooding in the area.

According to the American Red Cross South Dakota, seven team members from the region (Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota) are joining other Red Cross volunteers from across the country.

Their goal is to support those displaced by flooding in finding emergency shelter. As the storm waters recede, the Red Cross is working with state, tribal, and local governments to address the needs of impacted communities, providing comfort, care, and hope to those affected.
