Health Centers in Massachusetts Stop Trans Care for Minors
Some health centers in Massachusetts have stopped offering medical services for trans youth, including puberty blockers and hormones that aid gender transition.
The Healey administration is working on a plan to ensure continued access to care, after hospitals and clinics across the country stopped offering these services under pressure from the Trump administration.
- Fenway Health, a nationally recognized LGBTQ health center, is no longer offering gender transition medical care for patients in Massachusetts aged 18 and younger.
- Outer Cape Health Services, another health center network, will also follow suit.
The center posted a notice online about the change, which took effect on Oct.
