Shoplifter in Walmart Cart Arrested

Violet Rose Gardner, 58, of Lady Lake, was riding in a motorized shopping cart when a loss prevention officer saw her stuffing merchandise into reusable shopping bags.
- She left the store without paying for the merchandise.
- She was taken into custody and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
Gardner has a history of shoplifting, including:
- 2024: Arrested for shoplifting at Home Depot while in a motorized shopping cart, sentenced to 90 days in jail.
- 2017 and 2018: Convicted of theft in Lake County.
