Theatre Feature: Slow Horses and Nostalgia

It has become almost compulsory for any West End producer to build new projects on the back of TV or film connections. For musicals, this might mean borrowing plotlines, while straight plays seem to necessitate the injection of a couple of popular screen stars to ensure healthy ticket sales.
The idea can also work in reverse, as seen with the TV series Slow Horses, which has inspired nostalgia for exceptional theatre performances by its leading actors.
Watching the latest season of Slow Horses, almost certainly the best TV series in living memory and highly recommended to anybody with access to Apple TV+.
