State water officials have heard public feedback on the proposed water conservation program as Wyoming prepares for the fallout of Colorado River negotiations.
A draft of the state's Green River pilot water conservation program was presented during a meeting, with the November 11 deadline to finish the Colorado River negotiations approaching.
Brandon Gebhart, the state engineer, provided an update on the talks during a Colorado River Advisory Committee meeting, noting that
discussions between the basin states "are continuing".
According to insiders, the draft program is
"a good starting point"but there's room for improvement.
