Nooksack Valley Football Team Wins Conference Clash
Nooksack Valley football took over late in the game and captured a 47-20 win over Meridian in Northwest Conference action.
Pioneers' quarterback Evan Brown threw for 310 yards, five touchdowns.
"I am so excited about it because people thought we would lose or it would be a close game,"Brown said.
"We put our foot in the ground in the second half. I am proud of the team."
Meridian (4-2, 0-2 NWC) initially took a 7-0 lead with a 55-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Trey Alexander to Kasey Brennan.
- Nooksack Valley (4-3, 2-1 NWC) responded with a 17-yard pass from Evan Brown to Jaxon Hester.
"They are a really good football team,"
Nooksack Valley coach Craig Bartl said."They do a lot of things really well."
