The Arkansas football team has introduced a No. 5 jersey patch to honor Darren McFadden, a legendary player in the team's history.
The athletics department announced in July that McFadden's number would be honored, but not retired, and a patch would be added to both the offensive and defensive jerseys.
“It's a conversation piece,”
said McFadden, the Doak Walker Award winner and Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2006 and 2007, who was honored on the field during Arkansas' game against Texas A&M.
