Headway Devon, a local charity based in Exeter, specializes in helping individuals rehabilitate from head injuries.
Often, people with brain injuries are discharged home to a family network without wider support after spending months in hospital, ICU, and rehabilitation with a team of clinicians.
You've spent months in hospital, in ICU, in rehabilitation with a team of clinicians around you and suddenly you're all alone.
Headway Devon works alongside around 100 people every week, but there are more individuals who go home alone without knowing about the charity's services.
