At the first 2025 meeting of the Committee on the Prevention and Suppression of Cybercrime, Anutin emphasized the government's commitment to addressing this global issue, which has been deemed a national priority.
A key aspect of the meeting was the restricted access, with participants required to surrender their mobile phones to security personnel, allowing only ministers and committee members to access their devices.
Following the meeting, Anutin announced plans to present a comprehensive strategy to the Cabinet on October 21, aimed at enhancing inter-agency collaboration and effectively combating cross-border fraud.
The government has already made significant progress in seizing assets and prosecuting offenders, with amounts totaling billions of baht, although public awareness remains limited due to fragmented communication.
