Woman Recalls Recovery Process After Kipona Festival Crash

A woman who was hit by a van at the Harrisburg Kipona Festival on September 1 is recovering well and getting around independently.

"I am doing amazingly well, and God has seriously healed me. They said I had a broken fracture of the vertebrae in my neck and a couple of weeks later, I went back to my appointment, and they said there is nothing in your neck,"

Morgan Smoker said. She suffered a broken fracture of the vertebrae in her neck but miraculously healed in less than two months, contrary to the doctor's prediction of three to four months.

Smoker was one of several victims hurt after Elizabeth Bohrer, 37, drove her vehicle through the Harrisburg Kipona Festival, damaging her wheelchair and communication device.

Smoker's recovery process involved four days in the hospital and subsequent bed rest at home.
