Man Indicted in Schenectady Hit-and-Run Crash
A man from Queens, Conroy Simpson, has been indicted in connection with a hit-and-run crash that killed an 8-year-old Schenectady boy, Zion Delancy.
Simpson has been charged with leaving the scene of an incident without reporting. The incident occurred on March 19, just after 7:30 p.m., in the area of Chrisler Avenue and Crane Street.
According to his attorney, Simpson did not know he was involved in a crash until police contacted him. He was found later in the Woodlawn area.
Simpson is scheduled to be arraigned in Schenectady County Court on November.
