Schenectady Man Convicted of Raping Girl on Multiple Occasions
A 43-year-old Schenectady man, Willie C. Arrington III, has been found guilty of predatory sexual assault against a child in Schenectady County Court.
According to the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office, Arrington repeatedly sexually assaulted a girl under the age of 13, whom he knew, between the fall of 2018 and summer of 2021, when the child was between 9 and 12 years old.
The child reported the abuse to a family member in April 2024, after the family had moved to Virginia in December 2023. Virginia investigators interviewed the victim and referred the case to Schenectady authorities.
The District Attorney’s Office stated that the child, now 16, testified that Arrington assaulted her on approximately 50 separate occasions while living with the family.
Arrington was convicted of predatory sexual assault against a child.
