The Adrian boys and girls cross country teams have qualified for the state finals after a strong performance at the regional event on Saturday.
The Adrian boys team finished in second place at the Division 2 Regional held at Lake Erie Metro Park in Wyandotte, with 66 points, just six points behind the regional champions from Chelsea.
The girls team finished in third place, securing their spot at the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Cross Country State Finals at Michigan International Speedway (MIS) on November.
Adrian senior Moises Salazar Jr. and Skeels won the race, leading their team to victory.
The Maples had a huge day, with the boys and girls teams both advancing to the state finals.
