Gujarat High Court Rejects Plea Against Sanjiv Bhatt's Jail Transfer
The Gujarat High Court dismissed a plea filed by the wife of former IPS officer Sanjiv Bhatt, seeking to prevent her husband's transfer from Palanpur jail to another jail.
Bhatt was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Jamnagar Sessions Court in 2019 for an alleged custodial death case and was initially lodged at Jamnagar jail.
He was later detained at Palanpur jail during an NDPS trial, in which he was convicted by the Banaskantha Sessions Court on March 27, 2024.
