Plan Ahead for Care Costs
Surrey residents and their families can now use a simple online tool to prepare for care costs if they become less able.
Many people don't realize they may have to pay for some or all of their own care, especially if they have savings over £14,250.
The Surrey County Council's new Care Cost Indicator helps people estimate care costs, comparing residential/nursing home care to care in their own home.
Using a slider, users can choose the number of weeks, months, or years they wish to plan for and see how long their savings or assets may last.
Support needs can emerge at any age due to illness or injury.
This tool allows individuals to plan early and make informed decisions about their care.
