The International Energy Agency (IEA) predicts a record increase in liquefied natural gas (LNG) production capacity by 2030, transforming the gas market.
According to the IEA's "Gas 2025" medium-term outlook report, 300 billion cubic meters per year of LNG export capacity will be added by 2030, primarily in the US and Qatar.
Barring unexpected disruptions, this is forecast to result in lower prices in the years ahead and spur higher demand.
The IEA expects this growth to strengthen global supply security and ease market pressure.
