Doctor Who to Return in 2026 with Christmas Special
The BBC has confirmed that Doctor Who will be back on screens at Christmas 2026 with a special episode written by Russell T Davies.
The BBC remains committed to the show, despite Disney+ not partnering on the next season, and plans for the next series will be announced in due course.
Lindsay Salt, Director of Drama, BBC said: “We’d like to thank Disney+ for being terrific global partners and collaborators over the past two seasons, and for the upcoming The War Between the Land and the Sea.
The BBC will ensure the Doctor’s adventures continue, with more details to be announced.
