Native plants are helping Louisiana grow stronger, from backyards to bayous. One family's restoration project showcases the meaning of gardening for the future.
This story is part of a series accompanying the podcast "No Matter the Water." Listen to Episode 4, "De Sha," to hear from someone gardening with natives at home.
Three years ago, research for the podcast began with an interview with Matt Conn, owner of an environmental consulting company. He restored 67 acres, creating a nature lover's mecca. Since then, a film, Louisiana Grass Roots, and the podcast, No Matter the Water, were created.
Restoration shows what it means to garden for the future.
