Duke University Develops AI-Powered Microscope
Duke University's Lab of Haozhe "Harry" Wang has created ATOMIC, a platform that analyzes materials with high accuracy and speed, comparable to a trained graduate student.

ATOMIC can assess samples, make decisions, and produce results like a human expert, according to Wang. The results, published in ACS Nano, may mark the beginning of autonomous research where AI systems collaborate with humans.
